As in most companies, Siemens continually evaluates its portfolio of businesses to ensure there is a maximum level of synergies within the various operating divisions. As part of this ongoing evaluation process, Siemens has determined that the global airfield business does not offer significant synergies in terms of customers or technology that could be regarded as core business of the Mobility Division. As a result, Siemens is evaluating all strategic options for the airfield business, including leaving the activity within Siemens as a standalone business, a partnership model, or outright sale. As part of this process, on April 1st our company name will be changing to ADB Airfield Solutions, and we will become a separate legal entity like we were two years ago.
